The Ministry of Health - Sri Lanka established the Trauma Secretariat in September 2006 and officially launched it in January 2007. It is mandated to oversee all aspects of trauma system development. Our mission is to establish a contemporary trauma care system in Sri Lanka that aims to prevent preventable deaths due to trauma and severity of disability for those who survive.
