Trauma Network
Why Trauma Network?
- The care of injured patients requires a system approach to ensure optimal care. A systematic approach is necessary within a facility; however, no one trauma center can do everything alone. Thus, a system approach is necessary within an entire community /geographic area regardless of its size.
- Ensuring the right patient to get the right care at the right time with right facility. (because trauma does not wait!)
What is Trauma System?
- In ideal trauma system includes all the components identified with optimal trauma care, such as prevention, access, prehospital care and transportation, acute hospital care, rehabilitation, and research activities.
